Our worldwide shipping and logistic operations make an important contribution to Shamrock’s diversified business concept, enhancing the efficiency of our trading operations and adding value to all of our products.
Initially designed to serve our company’s own needs in the lubricants industry, it has now grown into a separate business segment with services provided to customers outside of the industry. Shamrock’s shipping and logistics activities encompass all aspects of liquid cargo logistics, including:
Base oils, petrochemical products, specialty chemicals, including temperature sensitive and hazardous cargos, as well as other types of liquid cargos can be delivered door-to-door with the appropriate combination of transportation and the right packaging solution fit for purpose, these include: traditional barrels (drums) all the way to ISO-tank containers, flexi tanks and IBCs, all dependent on cargo volume and the customer’s specific requirements.
Shamrock are capable to organise 'intermodal' transportation of liquid cargo. The benefits of using an Intermodal Tank Container are that it can be used for multiple modes of transport i.e.: rail, ship and truck, this can all be done without direct handling of the cargo during the change of transportation modes. Due to the reduced cargo handling it makes the whole process more secure and reduces any loss or damage and above all it means the cargo can be transported much faster.
Shamrock operates modern storage and logistics facilities in Latvia, Belgium and the UK, which are easily accessed by sea vessels, barges, rail tank cars, and trucks. These prime locations mean we are perfectly located to provide fast connection between the origin of the product and destinations preferred by our customers.
We can also assist you with any liquid cargo storage in Europe, especially in the Baltics, NWE and the Mediterranean.
